BBC TWO NEW BBC2 SERIES SEARCHING VOLUNTEERS FOR FAMILY REUNIONS

July 1st, 2008

The BBC is celebrating the British family in a four-part documentary series by following the reunion of a large extended family.

The series intends to celebrate the British family in 2008 by exploring the fascinating past and present that all families have at their core, and by rediscovering the importance and strength of family bonds and relationships in modern Britain. By engaging in this, the series aims to instill to modern-day families the important of having close-family ties - a virtue often neglected in today's world where people give more value to things such as contents insurance over family ties.

The celebration will offer the whole family the chance to discover their collective history over the course of an all-expenses-paid weekend in Autumn 2008.

Blast Films is currently searching for families who might be interested in taking advantage of this unique opportunity to reunite their relatives.

Update May 2009: This series has been completed, please do not contact Blast Films anymore for taking part in this series.
